Middle school Business, Finance, and IT educator with Rowan
Salisbury Schools in North Carolina, as well as an adjunct faculty member at a
local community college. After a career
in office management and financial services, I completed a lateral entry into
the classroom. I challenge myself and my
students by exploring and learning new curricula, software, and applications
and sharing these experiences in professional development workshops as well as
in the classroom. I piloted the Creative
Coding through Games and Apps curriculum in North Carolina and am a Microsoft
approved CCGA Implementation Trainer. In
addition to an MBA in Business Administration, Management and Strategy, I
earned a post-bac Certificate in Information Technology. I am the North Carolina Association for Career and
Technical Education president elect for 16-17, and am an advocate for CTE
education at the state and national level.
I have been a volunteer Guardian Ad Litem since 2000, advocating for abused
and neglected children in Rowan County.
