I spent the first two years of my career as a K-6 elementary music teacher and then ten years as a middle school math and choral teacher. In 2006, I became a professional development specialist for Lake Washington School District working in both math and technology. I focused on helping teachers and administrators of all grade levels and content areas on integrating technology and best practices to develop high-quality instruction.
In 2008-2009, I attended the University of Washington in the Danforth Leadership Program and earned my administration credentials along with my Masters of Education in Leadership. In 2010, I became a Microsoft Innovative Educator Master Trainer and began working with NCCE and Microsoft to advance excellence in teaching and learning through the effective use of technology. In 2012, I joined Everett Public Schools in Everett, WA as the Instructional Technology Coordinator and in November of 2013, I was selected to be one of the 24 Microsoft Expert Educators in the United States. I joined Microsoft in April 2015 on the Worldwide Education Team overseeing the Educator Audience.
