I started my teaching career as a Geography and History teacher many moons ago. I have moved schools and school systems, and do not regret leaving Melbourne for country life.
After bringing four children into the world (and getting myself stuck on a .5 teaching load in the Education Department) I left the public school classrooms for an Independent School Library. I obtained my Master of Education (Teacher-Librarianship) from Charles Sturt University, then ended up back in the classroom in a Catholic school, where I taught 8 different VCE subjects in 8 years.
My current work is managing the Information Services Department in an Independent school. As the sole teacher-librarian my life is busy, and as resources become more digital so do my skills. I completed a second Master of Education (Knowledge Networks and Digital Innovation) in 2015. I am delighted to have been accepted as an Australian MIE Expert for 2017- 2018.
I plan to continue working for as long as my passion for teaching and learning continues to burn brightly.
You can see more about the forces that motivate me in the accompanying Sway!
Family, education, reading, and farming are my passions. I like walking, gardening and taking photographs. Museums, libraries, art galleries and vistas are all special to me.

I love heaps!! I love my students to read things and really enjoy them to the point where they recommend them to others.
